About me
“I chose academia not just as a profession, but as a platform to shape thinking and develop future-ready leaders.”
I am an Associate Professor at the University School of Business, Chandigarh University, with a Ph.D. in Finance from Punjabi University, Patiala and more than a decade in higher education. I have qualified UGC-NET four times across Commerce and Management, and I teach Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship and Organisational Behaviour on the flagship MBA and M.A. Economics programmes.
My focus is on preparing students to think critically, act ethically and handle real-world business challenges with confidence. Beyond teaching, I serve as NSS Programme Officer and Deputy Superintendent (Examination), and I have led admissions counselling. What drives me is student transformation: seeing learners grow into confident, capable professionals.
My research looks at corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and sustainability in emerging economies, published with Springer, CRC Press, IGI Global and in Scopus and UGC-CARE listed journals.
Expertise · try a lesson
I teach Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship and Finance on the flagship MBA and M.A. Economics programmes. Each subject below comes with a lesson you can play in about 30 seconds.
Consumer behaviour, digital marketing and brand strategy for modern markets.
Lesson: launch a chai brand. Drag the 4 Ps onto the stall at the D1 canteen, or tap them.
Psst: every brand starts with a product.
People, teams and leadership, and how organisations get the best from them.
Lesson: build Maslow’s pyramid. Tap the needs to stack them, bottom first. Get the order wrong and it falls.
Hint: start with what a person needs to survive.
From idea to venture: innovation, business models and startup thinking.
Lesson: pivot a startup. Tap or spin the wheel. Each turn is one step of Build → Measure → Learn. The startup is made up. The method is real.
Home-made tiffins for hostel students
Spin the wheel to build the first version.
Hint: build small first. You can always pivot.
Corporate finance, income tax and governance, the area of my doctoral research.
Lesson: watch ₹10,000 grow. Drag the years and see the bar grow. Try another interest rate too.
after 5 years at 8% a year
You put in ₹10,000. Interest earned: ₹4,693
Compound interestSimple interest
Keep dragging. At 8%, money doubles about every 9 years: 72 ÷ 8 = 9. That’s the Rule of 72.
Final bell
Each one takes about 30 seconds. The seal fills as you go.
